What is HOCl?
Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is a naturally occurring, highly effective antimicrobial agent that’s gentle on both people and the planet. Found in our own immune systems, HOCl is produced by white blood cells to combat harmful bacteria, viruses, and fungi, making it a trusted ally in fighting infections.
As a weak acid formed when chlorine dissolves in water, HOCl is a potent disinfectant that works by breaking down the cell walls of pathogens, neutralizing them quickly and efficiently.
HOCl is non-toxic, biodegradable, and breaks down into simple, harmless components like water and salt, leaving no harmful residues behind.
Our products harness the power of HOCl to deliver safe, eco-friendly solutions for various skin problems.

Is it Safe?
Our HOCl-based products offer versatile, skin-safe, and environmentally conscious alternatives for everyday use.

Whether you’re caring for your skin, or your pets, The HOCl in BioMist MD provides powerful protection with a gentle touch—perfect for the whole family.

Clinical trials have evaluated HOCl’s ability to reduce bacterial load in chronic wounds, diabetic ulcers, and burns.
Studies show:

-
Significant reduction in infection rates without cytotoxicity to human cells.
-
Faster wound healing due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
-
Examples include randomized controlled trials comparing HOCl solutions to saline or other antiseptics, with HOCl often showing superior outcomes.
HOCl is evaluated under standards like ISO 17025 (laboratory testing) or WHO guidelines for disinfectants, confirming broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity.

Testing confirms HOCl is non-toxic to human cells at effective concentrations, with minimal irritation to skin, eyes, or mucous membranes.
